Enhancing voter education: EC

The Election Commission has prepared to expand voter education targeting the election of members of the House of Representatives and State Assembly to be held on November 20.

Election Commissioner Dr. Janaki Kumari Tuladhar, while inaugurating the 'Chief Trainer Training' program organized for voter education at Bahadur Bhavan office of the Commission, expressed confidence that after receiving the training, the trainees will play a role in bringing widespread awareness among the voters.

"The role of human resources is important in making the elections clean, free, fair and economical", Commissioner Dr. Tuladhar said, "I believe that you are active here in this role." He said that while fulfilling the responsibility of the voter registration commission, voter education should be thoroughly explained to the people.

The Secretary of the Commission, Gokarnamani Duwadi, expressed his belief that the training program will be helpful in bringing the voters to the polling stations to vote more and to cast more affirmative votes.
