SAFF Women's Championship: Nepal qualifies for semi-finals

After defeating Sri Lanka, Nepal became the group winner and reached the semi-finals of the SAFF Women's Championship

In the last match of Group B, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka by a wide margin of 6-0.

Amisa Karki scored 2 goals while Rashmikumari Ghising, Saru Limbu, Amrita Jaishi, and Deepa Shahi scored one goal each.

In the 10th minute of the match, Hira Kumari Bhujel's cross was headed by Ghising to give Nepal the lead. 

Within a minute of that, she scored through Saru Limbu's header on a cross from the right. Amrita Jaishi made a 3-0 lead by heading in Anita Basnet's corner in the 17th minute. In the 40th minute, Anita Casey's shot was ruled offside by the linesman. 

After Deepa Shahi scored in the injury time of the first half of the game, Nepal was leading 4-0 in the first half

Amisa Karki, who scored in the 75th minute, added another goal in the injury time of the second half and Nepal won the game 6-0. 

After Nepal became the group winner, Bhutan became the runner-up in this group. India and Bangladesh have already reached the semi-finals of Group A. Only after the victory of the group stage match between India and Bangladesh, the rival teams of Nepal and Bhutan in the semi-finals will be decided.
