Congress leads in Nepalgunj sub-metropolis

Coalition candidates in Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan have taken the initial lead in the local level election.

Prashant Bista, the mayoral candidate from the Nepali Congress, has taken the lead by getting 79 votes in the 198-vote count in Nepalgunj Sub-metropolis-23. Pashupati Dayal Mishra of CPN (UML) got 26 votes and Nandlal Baishya of RPP got 5 votes.

According to Chief Election Officer Khadananda Tiwari, Kamrudhin Rai of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) got 68 votes, Shanti Dhakal of UML got 26 votes and Bindu Chartimagar of RPP got 7 votes.

In Banke's Baijnath and Narainapur municipalities, Congress, Khajura and Rapti Sonari, UML and CPN (Maoist Center) in Kohalpur municipality have taken the lead.
