Re-polling will be held in Barhathwa Municipality-17 of Sarlahi. The Election Commission has decided to re-vote in the ward, said Diwakar Bhujel, Election Officer, District Election Office, Sarlahi. According to him, the office of the Returning Officer will hold an all-party meeting and fix the date of polling there.

The Nepali Congress, the CPN (UML), the Janmat Party and independent candidates have accused the Janata Samajwadi Party of not allowing other party-affiliated voters to cast their votes since noon on Friday. In a joint written petition filed at the Election Officer's Office, Barhathwa, it is mentioned that JSP candidate Ram Bishwas Rai and others beat CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Birendra Rai almost to death.

Although there were 1,954 voters in the two polling stations under the basic school Paroriya polling station of the ward, only 372 votes had been cast till Friday evening. The counting of votes in Barhathwa municipality could not be held due to ward dispute. Election Officer of Barhathwa Dasharath Pangeni said that the date of re-polling will be fixed in the ward by holding an all-party meeting as per the prevailing law.
